1. Information We Collect

Food Photos

When you analyze a meal, the photo is sent to our servers for processing. The image is used solely for food analysis and is not stored permanently on our servers.

Subscription Information

Payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment card information. We receive only a transaction receipt to verify your subscription.

Local Data (on your device only)

Analysis history (photos, health ratings, pros/cons) is stored only on your device. We do not have access to this data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Food Analysis: Your photo is sent to Google Gemini (our AI provider) to analyze the meal and generate a health rating with pros and cons.
• Crash Recovery: Analysis results are temporarily cached for up to 7 days to recover from app crashes or network failures.
• Subscription Verification: Transaction receipts are verified cryptographically to confirm valid subscriptions.

3. Data Storage

On Your Device

All your data — analysis history, photos, and health ratings — is stored locally on your device. You own and control this data.

Our Servers

Our backend is stateless. We do not maintain a database of user information. Analysis results are cached temporarily (up to 7 days) in Cloudflare KV storage solely for crash recovery purposes, then automatically deleted.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini: Processes food photos to generate health ratings and analysis. Google Privacy Policy
• Apple (StoreKit 2): Processes payments and provides transaction receipts. Apple Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare: Hosts our backend API and provides temporary caching. Cloudflare Privacy Policy

5. What We Don't Do

• We do not require user accounts or collect personal identifiers
• We do not use analytics or tracking services
• We do not display advertisements
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing
• We do not store your food photos permanently on our servers

6. Your Rights

Since we do not maintain a database of user information, there is no server-side data to request or delete.

• Device Data: You can delete your analysis history within the app, or delete the app entirely to remove all local data.

7. Data Retention

• Device Data: Retained until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app
• Cache Data: Automatically deleted after 7 days

8. Children's Privacy

Clean Diet is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the effective date.
